God’s Will For Our Lives

How do we know what someone is thinking? We can only know someone’s thoughts when they decide to speak their mind. Why do we say it’s hard to know what God is thinking or what His will is for our lives when He has been speaking His mind for almost 6,000 years and His thoughts have been recorded in a book we like to call THE BIBLE? If anyone would like to know what the will of God is for their lives here is the basic outline that is the foundation for everyone’s specific journey:

I. To forgive ALL your iniquities (Iniquities mean crooked ways, not just the sin but the root cause to the sin)
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to forgive
B. He forgives you of your sin
C. He sets you free from the bondage of that sin
II. To heal ALL your diseases & infirmities
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to heal - Physically, emotionally, and spiritually
B. Don’t let the Thief, the Destroyer, or the Killer come as an Angel of Light and talk you out of your healing through false doctrine and bad theology
C. Who are you going to believe - The Word of God -or- the word of man?
III. To redeem your life from destruction
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to redeem -or- save
B. Galatians 6:7-8: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
C. Destruction in our lives comes from two sources - our sin & the sin of others
D. From Genesis through the end of Revelation God could not be more obvious with His will to redeem and save us from our own destruction
E. Destruction is the result of sin, just like hitting the ground is the result of jumping off of a building. Destruction from our sin is no more God’s will for our lives as dying from falling off of a building.
IV. To crown you with lovingkindness and tender mercies
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to show you His Love, Kindness, and Mercy
B. GOD IS LOVE (1 John)
C. Everything God does is based on the foundation of Love
D. If it doesn’t resemble Love as laid out in 1 Corinthians 13 then IT IS NOTGOD!
V. To satisfy your mouth, your life, your years with good things
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to satisfy
B. We don’t need to pursue satisfaction and happiness in our own strength and toiling because it’s God’s will to satisfy us and give us joy
C. James 1:17: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
D. 1 Timothy 6:17: “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”
VI. To renew your youth and strengthen you
A. It’s ALWAYS God’s will to renew and strengthen
B. Romans 12:2: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewingof your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is.”

GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HIS WILL! Psalm 103:1-5 is God’s will for EVERYONE. If it is not manifesting in your life then you need to ask God WHY, and be willing to hear His answer.

  1. Steve,
Just a quick note to let you know that I forwarded your message to a friend who is discouraged because he is going through a hard time and doesn't "feel" God's love for him.
I trust that after reading what you wrote, it will be clear to him what Father's "feelings" are about us.
Happy Easter! He is risen! Hallelujah!
